Where Did It Go

Has anyone seen it,
do you know where it went to
Come on , did you put it somewhere?
I've really got to find it,
cause I've got a lot of things to do

Where did it go

Seems like day before yesterday
I was fretting over home work.
Limping home after ball practice,
or my girlfriend wasn't talking,
and she's being a jerk


Seem to keep losing it

Seems like yesterday I was watching as
her little head crowned,then
our eyes first met
First thing I knew she's walking , then talking
before I knew it, man did you see how
she swings that bat
Now she is away at college learning
all about the world
Oh man, now when I hold her and look
in her eyes all I can see is
my little girl

Cant find enough of it.

Hey I think I found it, it's not left behind
it's here and now, the present
that's where I find time.
I didn't misplace it, didn't lay it down
it's always been here with me like
an old trusty hound.

Take it.

Now when I spend it, when I spend any time,
I make a mental note, make a mental picture,
and hide it in my mind.
Like the mountains and the rivers or
the pebbles by the shore.
They all catalog time minute
by day by year and more.
The earth is keeping score
Stop, look around don't take time but
use the time to give.
It's here.
it's now.
